To identify community groups in Turkey which may benefit from receiving training and support in the development of “project skills for life”. Training would be provided on a voluntary basis by project management practitioners, teachers, or other trained volunteers.
The simple “Hayat bir Projedir” vision of helping to build basic life project skills capacity for those in need is based on the “Life is a Project” concept originally developed for migrants in London as an idea for social good. An associated research paper “Life is a Project: Project Management as an Enabling Life Skill“ was awarded the Project Management Institute’s 2017 International Student Paper of the Year Award (EMEA).
The LIAP training materials have been translated to seven international languages, including Turkish, by local native-speaking volunteers.
We need the support of volunteer individuals and socially-motivated organisations in Turkey to take this concept from idea to reality. Looking for project ideas – maybe a school, association, NGO, a local business, a local village? Contact me.
